Our dear Russian friend who is a MD and PhD and practices in the Trauma Dept. in St. Pertersburg of Russia has completed his trial among four hemostatic agents, Combat Gauze, Celox Gauze, HEMO-bandage and HemoFlex ( a Russian developed product) and the regular gauze as control. The trial was done in March.
We are pleased to learn that HEMO-bandage can stanch traumatic bleeding of four tested pigs out of five at the first check ( 5 minutes) in the trial. In addition, HEMO-bandage successfully saved 3 of four pigs with simply one pack of the product comparing with two packs required by Combat gauze. Unfortunately, for some reason unknown, one of the tested pig died due to continuous hemorrhage after two checks. It was the disappointing part in the whole trial as HEMO-bandage beat other competitors once again on Russian soil.
Further result and final report will be released as soon as Dr. Reva completes his analysis and evaluation.
