“CoreLeader” Algi-Pad is made of natural absorbent polysaccharide—alginate, through lyophilization process. The interface of Algi-Pad with exudates forms a gel layer, which enables a moisture environment facilitating wound healing and prevents adhesion to wound bed. At the same time, the unique porous structure enables fast evaporation of excessive moisture, preventing wound maceration. Algi-Pad is rich in calcium ion and thus exhibits hemostatic effect on mild bleeding, which also works out for wounds with coagulation problems.
